Get Your SIN number
The Social Insurance Number (SIN) is a unique nine-digit number issued to a single person. If you are a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a temporary resident, you need a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to work in Canada or to receive benefits and services from government programs.

University/College ID

Get Your University/College ID
Campus Card is the University’s official photo ID card and provides the University community with a high-quality, user-friendly system that allows convenient and efficient access to many services.
Where do I get my UPEI Campus Card?
The production and distribution of the UPEI Campus Card takes place at the Chi-Wan
Young Sports Centre during regular business hours (http://www.upei.ca/athletics/hours)
and the Registrar’s Office in the Kelley Building, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am until
4:30 pm.

PEI Health Card

Apply for PEI Health Card
You will be asked for your PEI Health Card each time you visit a medical office or undergo medical testing or treatment at a publicly funded health facility in Prince Edward Island. If you do not have a valid PEI Health Card you will be billed for hospital and physician services.

Residence

UPEI Residence
Living in residence means getting involved, making new friends, participating in exciting residence events, and having lots of fun. Become a member of Hall Council or a Residence Life Advisor. We have various residence options; and, whichever you choose, you’ll be at home with your friends. Because residence students tend to immerse themselves in campus life, they are more likely to achieve academic success by taking advantage of readily accessible support services such as free tutoring for first-year students, and time management and study skills workshops.

Holland College Residence
If you want to live in one of the Prince of Wales Campus residences located in Charlottetown, apply for a room at the same time as you apply for a program.
You cannot be offered a residence room before you have been accepted into a program, and rooms are in high demand, so apply as soon as possible.
Complete this online Residence Application Form or download the form and print it. There is an application fee of $25, so you will need a valid Visa or MasterCard if you apply online.
You may request a specific roommate on your residence application, and the request must be mutual. Please contact the Residence Office with any roommate requests or changes.

- Customer Service/Retail Sector Jobs
- As the Christmas season approaches, many stores will be hiring for more customer service positions.
- Grocery stores
- Atlantic Superstore – must complete online application .
- Sobeys – complete paper application & take your resume & go in person to Sobeys locations / ask to speak with the Store Manager or Front End Manager
- Department/retail stores
- Value Village – must complete online application .
- Walmart – complete online application & personality assessment / you can then take your printed resume and go in to the store. Ask to speak with the Hiring Manager. Likely the person will tell you that you need to apply online. You can confirm you already have and that you want to meet in person to offer that you’re interested in a job with them.
- Canadian Tire – go in person

- Winners / Home Sense (TJX Companies) – must complete online application
- Old Navy / GAP
- Dollar stores (Great Canadian Dollar Store, Dollarama, etc.) – go in person

- For smaller stores (not part of larger corporations) you can apply directly in store. Ask to speak with the hiring manager/owner and present him/her with your resume and share that you’re interested in applying.

- Note: typically you can drop your resume off in person at a restaurant. However, never drop off your resume during busy times (ie: Lunch, Dinner hour)

PEI Provincial Government (PEI Public Service Commission – PEIPSC
