CAMP GENCHEFF IS HIRING ONE-TO-ONE WORKERS TO START FOR SUMMER PROGRAM!
Camp Gencheff is a year-round facility for adults and children with intellectual and physical disabilities. We offer each client an opportunity to participate and develop physically and emotionally through a safe and fun camping experience.
We are looking for kind and understanding individuals who work as one-to-one workers during our weekend and day programs! As a one-to-one worker, you will be working with a child who has autism and high needs. Our one-to-one workers must be able to adapt quickly and problem-solve.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for working with one individual during the day

Continually encourage and keep clients active and engaged in fun and challenging activities that meet clients’ needs while maintaining a safe environment

Follow directions from management, supervisors and healthcare workers

Follow and execute activities according to IBI or IEP (if applicable)

Provide personal care and dietary assistance to clients
-
Follow all camp policies and procedures
-
Work in a team environment

Administrative duties, as required
Qualifications

A clear Criminal Background Check required

Must be over 18 years of age
-
Post-secondary student or graduate from a post-secondary institution and/or certificate in a related field (ie: Human Services or Educational Assistant)

Experience working with people with disabilities, specifically those with autism

Experience with IBI and IEPs
-
First Aid and CPR are required before the job begins
-
Must be available to work weekends, as respites are two weekends per month
