Our CEO and Director of Business Development both reside and work on PEI and we have a residency at Startup Zone in Charlottetown, where new employees can work from. The Job:  

UP360 is currently seeking an Intermediate Full Stack Developer to join our growing studio. As a full-stack developer, you will work as part of a team to implement new features, as well as make modifications and fix bugs in existing code for our Immersive Learning Platform (ILP). Your duties will include designing and iterating on existing layouts, writing code to power the underlying functionality of the platform, and developing tests for the code you write.

Responsibilities Include (not limited to):  

Participate in the full software development life-cycle as part of a small, focused team of developers. Development of a web application (ILP) for the distribution of Virtual Reality learning and educational experiences. Development of an electron based desktop application. Participate in daily standups and bi-weekly planning meetings Write automated tests. Prioritize and implement internal and external user feedback for bug fixes and feature requests. 

 Technical Requirements:

5+ years experience developing web applications 3+ years experience with React (or a similar frontend framework) and Typescript Strong troubleshooting ability and technical analysis skills – web performance optimization included General understanding CI/CD pipelines Developing REST APIs using Ruby on Rails Experience working with at least one SQL or NoSQL Database (MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres preferred) Experience with Electron and/or Chromium Embedded Framework Basic experience with Amazon Web Services General understanding of infrastructure as code
