Job Brief

At Iron Fox Games, we believe producers are the force multiplier on a game team.  They possess the right mix of product vision, leadership, and necessary business acumen to make a great experience that is profitable and enjoyable to work on.  As an Associate Producer, you will be the face of a small development team and the person who ensures the best work is getting done.  Your job is to get the agreed vision brought to life and remove obstacles along the way.

Here’s what we need in this role:

  • Own the day-to-day relationship with 1-2 of our clients.

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog to match the product roadmap.

  • Work with a small but cross-functional team to define, build, and deploy features and content updates into a live product.

  • Work with craft leaders to ensure that the product is tracking towards the agreed vision and target.

  • Adhere to deadlines and budgets.  Work with the team to create accurate estimates. Manage scope and petition for extensions where warranted.

  • Escalate project risk to studio leadership and client point of contact.

  • Maintain documentation for the client/product, utilizing shared tools amongst the team.

  • Engage with vendors for outsourced development where needed: Evaluating progress, communicating requirements, and escalating issues.

  • Grow with the business; stretch yourself and learn new skills and domains.

  • Have fun; we’re making games!

Got what it takes?

  • 2-3 years of experience in the industry, preferably in mobile games-as-a-service.

  • Comfortable with custom tools for engaging with the live environment.

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to your peers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Solid ability to create and deliver presentations internally and externally.

  • Experience training new recruits into the mechanics of game development.

  • Strong project management abilities.

  • Experience with rapid prototyping and delivering MVP.

  • Excellent problem solving and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong sense of leadership and team building.

  • Has experience working on original ideas as well as licensed products.

  • Experience at all stages of the software development life cycle.

  • Keen eye for detail – constantly playtesting to ensure the best quality experience.

  • Ability to be flexible. Plans will change, you’re here for the journey as much as the destination.

What do you get in return?

  • We pay very competitive salaries according to the market – not based on where you live.  We also offer a discretionary annual bonus structure based on contribution and company performance.

  • Crunch is old school – we recognize downtime as the catalyst to brilliance.  To that end, we offer three weeks of paid vacation plus all provincial and national observances and an additional week-long shutdown at the end of year for the holidays.

  • Families matter. As veterans of the industry we recognize that it can feel like “there is never a good time to take time off.” Major life moments are more important than a build, a release or a bug. We encourage you to do life at your own pace, and we will be there for you in those important moments.

  • Your medical, dental, and extended healthcare needs are covered under our group plan.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 CAD
