POSITION: Maintenance Technician
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager
SALARY: Compensation commensurate with education and experience
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent – Full Time, Day, Night
LOCATION: Charlottetown, PEI

Our team is growing, and we want to hear from you if you are an experienced Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities in a continuous operations manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the equipment and facilities through a structured Preventative Maintenance Program based on Total Productive Maintenance procedures
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and utilities
- Support the changeover of production equipment and training of equipment operators
- Operate in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment around consumable products
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary
- Participate in Continuous Improvement programs and support the deployment to each department
- Make recommendations and execute the improvement of processes and policies in each rotation
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested
Requirements
- Highschool graduation or GED required, 2-year related diploma preferred
- At least 5 years’ experience in equipment repair, maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment, electromechanical or controls experience preferred
- Knowledge of equipment, tools and maintenance practices

Must have proof of eligibility to work in Canada

This position requires the ability to:
- Stand, or walk for an extended period
- Stoop, reach, kneel or crouch
- Flexible to work Day or Night depending on maintenance needs
