GROCERY SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.INTRODUCTION TO GROCERY SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 1, 2022 – Charlottetown PE
The African Student Association (ASA) and The Atlantic Student Development Alliance (ASDA) have partnered to support and provide grocery support to international students to address the existing and anticipated food access needs in our community as a result of COVID-19 restrictions and impact.
Looking back to March 2020 when the pandemic started, it became evident that international students were the hardest hit by the pandemic in many areas such as employment, finances and food security. Today we are happy to announce that the federal government of Canada, Ministry of Agriculture, has provided funds to assist this community of international students with food by providing and promoting a food campaign through Canada Food Centres Canada.
The ASA and ASDA team are glad to share that these funds will be disbursed in two parts:
-
- (i) $100 coupons to the farmers market starting March 1st to provide students access to fresh vegetables, dairy products, fruits, meat, fish, and cooked meals and
- (ii) Grocery store gift cards worth $100 for a three-month period, start date TBD.
Please note that the Farmers Market coupons are currently available for pickup while information regarding the grocery store gift will be provided later.

Hello, I am an International student and I was just able to apply today but the form is no longer accepting responses. Please is there any way I can still access a coupon?
Hello Obed,
Unfortunately the deadline for that program has passed. It was not from our end so we can do anything for that since we were just sharing it. Please keep in touch to see other future programs.

ASDA

Is it possible to register this way?
I really appreciate your response.
